• You’re all so helpful, I thought I would risk one more question!
I can’t get the comments function to work. Not sure what the setting should be in “options” or if the problem is with the php files. When clicking on “comments” I get a blank pop up page. I’m not even sure what is supposed to be there.
If it helps, you can view my testing site at: http://www.storystudiochicago.com/cooler
    thanks!

  • Hey!
I’ve just switched to this from MT, and I have that same problem. When clicking on the comments link, an IE error page appears that says “The page cannot be found”.
This is the only problem I’ve encountered so far, otherwise this is really great!
Thanks in advance for any help!

You guys have got index installed in the same directory as all your other stuff right ?

    Yes, I believe so.

@writergrrl – I see this in the source
    “meta name=”generator” content=”WordPress .72″ /”
    That’s old
Have you upgraded any files recently ?

@alexismarie86 – your blog url is a html file, yet comments is looking for index.php first, to which it appends the comments php file. No index = error.

    Thanks!

Thank you for noticing the older code (I downloaded a template) and I updated the code. Got the the comments form to show up–sometimes. But after filling in the fields, I just get a blank page.
Part of the problem may be that I have just the “index.php” and style.css in the main directory, and all the other wordpress files and folders one directory in. I managed to find instructions on adjusting the index.php to look in the correct folder.
    /cooler (has just index.php and style.css)
/cooler/wordpress (has all other files and folders)
When the comments won’t appear–I do get a message that comments are turned off. However, I thought through the admin tool and I had turned them on.
    Any thoughts?
    many thanks.

Hi, I too am having trouble with my comments section. When you attempt to submit a comment, the page seems to recycle, and nothing is posted. i’m a total newbie at this, so how do i go about figuring out what’s broken?
    Thanks!
