Not supported? Not working?

This plugin did look good but at this time it seems to have fatal quirks. After installing, the menu area has options for adding the portfolios which is great. But then it vanished. I completely uninstalled, reinstalled, and that option is back. But only for one of two admin users. And the forums here don’t seem to be getting any tlc from the dev…so I am guessing that he/she has moved on.

I hope that someone will inform me that things are better than it seems…but I’m writing this for anyone else that might waste time on it.
