Importing/exporting problems (from wordpress to wordpress)

I moved my blog from one version of WP 2.5.1 to another of the same version. I ran the initial install on the new site, then imported the wp xml file that I had from when I ran the export on the old site. There were no errors during importing and all the pages appear with no problems.

My posts are not appearing on the site itself (from index.php and also from the archives). When I look under Manage Posts from admin, the number of posts in parenthesis is correct, but they are not listed below to edit or view.

Does anyone know what I can do to fix this?
