my .htaccess file

Hi All,

Just a quick question, i have my wordpress installation in a sub folder of my root domain called \blog.

I am using customised permalink structure, which means I have a .htaccess file located in the \blog directory.

Under the ‘options > general’ section of my wordpress installation, i have the sub folder set for both the wordpress and blog address.

I have a copy of the index.php from the /blog directory in my root directory.

My blog functions fine when users type in root domain of my site, my question is this: should my .htaccess file be anywhere other than the subfolder that wordpress is installed in? I just want to make sure my blog is indexed correctly by search engines and stuff.
