• When I try to upload an image to an existing gallery via the standard uploader, it hangs at the “Create New Thumbnails” screen, displaying “Running… Please wait” I am aware of the resource limitations often imposed by the hosting provider, but this is only one image, and it’s only 410×614 and 77.3KB.

I’ve been searching for answers, but have found none thus far. Any ideas? My server info is below, thank you:

  • same problem here … does anybody know a solution?

Have you tried uploading the picture via ftp and then scan the folder for new images? This often worked.

thank you, maierma .. uploading the pictures via ftp works for me. Actually I never had a problem with uploading the pictures via zip file until recently. I have googled a bit and my guess is that it has something to do with 1&1 hoster .. my images are rather small (hardly over 100KB most of them less) so memory shouldn’t actually be a problem. Anyway, I am glad you provided a solution to get around thie .. thanks again 🙂

Yup I traced my problem to 1&1 hosting as well. I moved the site to MediaTemple, and all the NextGen problems disappeared.
