Issue Retreiving Lost Password

I was just logged in to WordPress.org and left for an hour. When I got back it asked me to log back in but my password wouldn’t work. I click on “Get New Password” and entered my email address and keep getting this message …
“The email could not be sent.
Possible reason: your host may have disabled the mail() function.”
DOuble checked the email address and it’s the right one and it’s spelled correctly.I searched on the forum and read a couple of other responses to try troubleshoot but they say to go to the Admin panel … how do I do that without being able to log in? I can’t figure out what happened. I got an email saying that WordPress upgraded and that I didn’t have to do anything else, not sure if that had something to do with it.

I was logged in to http://www.daycareninja.com/wp-login. I left the window open and left for an hour. When I got back and got back on my laptop I clicked on the screen to go into the templates and it asked me to log back in. I entered my email and password and it told me it was incorrect. I clicked on “lost password” and then entered my email and I get that error message that I entered in the first post. So I was originally in there and was able to log in earlier today and now suddenly I can’t and it won’t let me get a new password.
I read that post that you linked in your post and I followed the first instructions but that’s when I get that error message. The next part says to go to the Admin panel but I don’t know how to do that without logging in. Should I be going to Bluehost? I’ll be honest, I don’t know much about WordPress blogs/Bluehost. I was told this was better but I’m clueless with the terms and the way it works so thanks so much for your patience. I have no idea what I’m doing or what most of the terms mean/what to do based on the support feeds. 🙁
