e-ticket or event manager plugin?
-
Dear all,
sorry for the stupid question but I am a little bit confused…
I manage the blog of my conservatory (high school of music) and we make a huge quantity of concerts each season. All the concerts are free, but we need to check the number of people coming because of the different size of the venues (different locations). Currently we do it manually (that is: people physically come into the Conservatory and reserve one to three tickets for free, we physically give the paper ticket, they come the day of the concert with it, and so on. When we have finished the tickets (that is, the number of seats available) we don’t accept reservations any more.
Now, I saw that there are a plethora of plugins doing this kind of stuff (and even more, of course) so I’ve messed around with some huge packages (Tickera) and some minimal packages (Event Tickets). The problem is that I find that some are too heavy for our purposes (we’ll never made a concert with paying tickets) and some other too narrow (we must be able to limit the number of tickets someone can reserve). So, resuming, we need a system which:
– Allows people to reserve one to three tickets (for free) for a concert (without logging in our blog)
– Sends an email to them with a code (QR code would be fantastic)
– Keeps track of people that have make reservation (permitting us to check the venue’s limit and their ticket at the entrance of the concert)That’s all: I know it is simple, but I don’t understand if I need a complex plugin for “selling” tickets, or a smaller plugin to manage an event…
Thank you in advance and sorry for the long message.
