• Andreas,
thanks for a great plugin! It’s just exactly what I was looking for but there are some issues that don’t let me using Lexicon.

    1. my server doesn’t support regular “pretty permalinks” so my permalinks look like http://www.server.name/index.php/good-permalink-name/
But Lexicon generates regular permalinks without /index.php/ and i get 404 error because of that when clickin’ on Lexicon-generated links.

    2. somehow Lexicon also tries to convert words used in HTML tags if they contain such Lexicon-tagged words.

    3. WYSIWYG doesn’t appear to work when i try to switch between HTML editor and visual one.

    4. images are not allowed in Lexicon-generated pages? I tried to insert one but <img> tag was killed.

I wish editing Lexicon-generated pages was just the same like editing posts and pages in WP. At least placing images into such pages is essential.

    5. Maybe there could also be an option to limit links for the same word on one page because in cases when i have such words used many times – too many links are annoying. But it’s just my humble opinion.

But besides that everything is just amazing! Please keep it up!
I can provide a Russian translation for this plugin in you’re interested.

    Thanks!

  • hi activateru,
    thanks for testing and reporting.

    2. somehow Lexicon also tries to convert words used in HTML tags if they contain such Lexicon-tagged words.

I fixed this issue in the current development version and the first few tests showed that it works quite fine.

    3. WYSIWYG doesn’t appear to work when i try to switch between HTML editor and visual one.

I also fixed that in the current development version. The error only appears when you click “html” on some other adminpage before. It’s an odd bug.

If you ever want to reproduce that with the stable 1.0:
    ——————————————————-
    1. go to “Write”->”Post” and click on the “html” tab.
    2. then go to “Write”->”Lexicon”…bonk! html and tiny show at the same time 🙂 and you can’t switch to the wysiwyg editor again.

    4. images are not allowed in Lexicon-generated pages? I tried to insert one but <img> tag was killed.

fixed in development version. Was some escaping issue.

Some other guy asked for a backlink functionality so when you request a lexicon entry from “inside” a blog post or your blog at all the plugin will append a “<< Back” link at the bottom of the lexicon entry.

I will look forward in implementing your feature requests as well and I hope I still can contact you about the translation to “ru” at some later time. It’s just a matter of time here :).

You may download the latest development version here: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/lexicon/download/

Hint: old lexicon entries won’t show correctly anymore if you install this development version, so delete and re-create them.

    Cheers,
    Andreas Schipplock.
