Hi guys, I’m the founder of this recently created website: www.cronaldodaily.com

Strangely enough, I can’t edit old pages or submit new posts in WP-ADMIN. I can’t even upload media. The Visual/Text menus don’t appear properly. Even when I try to update my User Profile on my WP-ADMIN, the page crashes after I click on the “Update Profile” button. By the way, I installed WordPress via Godaddy’s easy 5 minutes steps on Aug 11. It’s the 4.5.3. version. And all my 9 plugins are up to date.

Can anyone assist me in fixing that, please?

    Thanks so much!

Try deactivating all plugins. If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

If that does not resolve the issue, try switching to the Twenty Sixteen theme to rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

Hi James, I’ve tried both options. None has worked.

    I want this fixed ASAP.

Any chance you can set up my WP ADMIN to a previous version of WordPress? What could be the solution? Can’t wait to finally be able to publish my first posts & pages since purchasing my domain & installing WordPress last week.

Unless you have a backup that you can restore from, downgrading is a dangerous process, which is why backing up before upgrading is strongly recommended both in the upgrade instructions and automatic upgrade interface.

It would be better to solve your current problem.

Next, try downloading WordPress again, access your server via SFTP or FTP, or a file manager in your hosting account’s control panel, and delete then replace your copies of everything on the server except the wp-config.php file and the /wp-content/ directory with fresh copies from the download. This will effectively replace all of your core files without damaging your content and settings.

Some uploaders tend to be unreliable when overwriting files, so don’t forget to delete the original files before replacing them.

Wow. I’m afraid I’ll mess this up!! I’ll need some help with replacing copies on FTP. For some reason, I haven’t had much luck using FTP myself. The other day, I had to receive help to successfully upload my purchased theme via FTP.

Ok, you might be able to ask your hosting provider for help with that. Otherwise, please try http://jobs.wordpress.net/ or http://directory.codepoet.com/ and do not accept any hire or direct access offers posted to these forums.

Or, if you want to give it a shot yourself and have any questions, just let us know.
