Hi Triep. You can use the WP pre_get_posts() action hook to modify the sort:

Add this function to your child theme functions.php file:

// modify post sort to use modified date
function my_sort_posts( $query ) {
    if ( $query->is_home() && $query->is_main_query() ) {
        $query->set( 'orderby', 'modified' );
    }
}
add_action( 'pre_get_posts', 'my_sort_posts' );
