The reason could be that the post categories you’ve selected for the slider are no longer associated with any posts.
You can check the post category that you’re using for the slider by going to Appearance > Customize > Slider and taking a look at the “Post Categories” setting.

Hi, I am trying to set up the slideshow on my blog with Panoramic.
You’re saying the slider will show pictures from posts that belong to a specific category.
Can’t I just load a few images and have the slider show them continuously?

The premium version of the theme has a slideshow feature which when enabled will autoscroll your slides on an infinite loop.
