I created my first website using wordpress, purchased a domain name and hosted it through godaddy.com with wordpress 1-click installation. After that, using mysitename/wp-admin, I have customized the website pages and blog and everything else the way I wanted and I’m very happy with my results.
    This is my website: portraitsbyjoel.com

My question is regarding wordpress.com though. I use the wordpress app on my phone using the same login information (I believe I had to register with the same login as my website’s wp-admin login username). I use the app and the desktop version to read other people’s blogs and follow and discover new blogs. I have added my website url to my profile page but it says that it only shows up if I comment on another blog post.

How do I see my wordpress website on wordpress.com searches as well and be featured on “Discover” or have other people follow my website’s blog page? When I click on “My Sites” on my wordpress.com account, it only allows me to create a new site. I can’t figure out how to link my website on my wordpress.com account.

Can someone please explain to me what I’m doing wrong? I would really appreciate it. I’m a newbie to all of this so I’ll definitely appreciate any advice anyone gives. Thank you so much.
