OK…update. I realized I had created the gallery as a Page rather than a Post. I fixed that and did see the Image format option. But it still is not showing up on my home page. What do I need to do to display the gallery on the home page? Thanks!
Another question…
Is it possible to remove the About page from the top navigation? The ‘about’ information is set up to display on the home page and I don’t want a link to take the reader to the same information on a different (about) page.
Instead, I’d like the link to the gallery to appear in that top navigation. Currently, that page won’t display at all, and it’s set up as a Post so it won’t show up in the navigation links ether.
Another update — I’ve figured out some things but have some new questions. So please disregard the above and let me summarize the situation currently.
I got the gallery to show up on the home page, but there are some issues:
-One of the gallery posts gives me a 404 page not found when I click on it, but it does not appear that I’ve set it up any differently than the others.
-The photo descriptions show up in a list format beneath the gallery description. They are not associated with any photo, but are instead just listed in kind of a mess on the page on the left side underneath the gallery copy. How do I get those to show up as captions on the photos instead?
I would still like to remove the About link (titled ‘mountain sun and greens’ on my website) on the top navigation. Is there a way to do this? No need to add the gallery in there, as I had requested above. Now that the gallery shows up on the home page, I shouldn’t need to do that once I resolve the current issues.
Thanks again for your help! Looking forward to getting this sorted out.
Hello There!
We really appreciate you writing in.
We would like to inform you that you can adjust the menu from Dashboard-> Appearance-> Menus
Here is a video tutorial on how to use the WordPress Menu which might be of help: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w1oNeH-V_cc
The theme does not have the feature to display the image caption below the image.
The unorganized text on the left of your description is the image caption of different images of that gallery.
You can go the the respective gallery post in the post editor.
Then click on the Gallery image and choose to edit the Gallery.
Delete the image captions and update the post.

Hope this information was useful.
Thank you!
Thanks for your quick reply. Do you plan to allow the image captions to display in the gallery? That is a good function for SEO and would be great to have in this theme.
Another issue – how to I prevent the gallery posts from showing up in the blog page? I like them on the home page but I don’t want them to appear on the blog page and I cannot find a setting in the blog page set up that allows me to choose which posts appear there.
