Basic page editor functions do not work

I just uploaded my wordpress site from a localhost to a live server (largely with the help of the guys at name-cheap who helped me out. I suck at back end stuff) but some of my embedded bandcamp content did not show up correctly. So i hopped over to the page editor only to find out it was blank. I tried to switch from “visual editor” to “text” but it wouldn’t let me. I’d click on the button but nothing would happen. At first I thought it was my plugins. i reinstalled all of my page editor plugins, but the problem still persisted. I then tried deactivating them only to see the problem is with the stock page editor, not the page builder plugins I have. Another thing I found is that the page was actually not blank, but the text was showing up as white on the page editor, rendering it practically invisible.
