multi site and subdomain support

    Hi,
    We are using Relevanssi (free) but since launching our site we converted it to multi site. It seems like I need to upgrade to the premium version for this to work correctly, is that correct?

    Also, my site has several pages that are on a non-Wordpress subdomain. Is it possible for Relevanssi to search these pages as well as my WordPress database? Is it possible to do this if I get the Premium version of Relevanssi?

    Yes, free version will work on one subsite of the multisite, but if you want Relevanssi enabled on several sites or want to do cross-site searches, you need Premium.

    And no, Relevanssi can only index WP content. Relevanssi works on WordPress posts, and can’t understand non-WP content.

    Hi @mikko,
    I installed FaucetWP and Relevanssi to power the search. But I can’t index anything.
    I have de-activated the plugin; I have deactivated a few plugins which rely heavily on shortcodes. And no way to index the DB. Any idea?
    Thank you in advance.

    PS. For a dynamic DB, which grows constantly, do we need to index the DB every day?

    Make sure you start the new thread in Relevanssi support forums; it’s not there now, so I don’t know where it is.

    What do you mean in practice that the free version will only work on one subsite? How is it restricted? I cannot find any information about this. We don’t need to do cross-site searches so will the free version work if we only need to search in the current sub-site?
