Try deactivating all plugins. If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.
If that does not resolve the issue, try switching to the Twenty Sixteen theme to rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).
I sent a reply – did you get it as after sent post it logged me out of this site!
Shortened version – thanks for your reply. It started working fine when I logged in tonight without doing anymore.
Has crashed me out again when taking of page title then viewing it, which has saved it, and now when trying to put “about us” back in the site crashes saying my website is not working.
I was trying to find a way to take the page header out of the narrative and reduce the padding because the page is awful when you see it live. You have to scroll down to start reading the narrative and its so narrow you scroll too much. This is why I tried to change themes by Tempera, then a couple of other hotel themes (my site is for a lodge) after I kept crashing with Tempera. But the edit problem carried on through the other themes until I changed back to Baskerville and then sent out my SOS here as GoDaddy seems only to say go onto website builder which would be so much better for someone who doesn’t know much, no time to learn, no time to waste anymore on website presentation as no time to do it anymore but desperately needs to start earning money with an attractive website to promote internationally.
I don’t know what to do anymore. Had this site for almost a year and hating the layout and now all I do is crash it. my site is sandrockslodge.com. Please give me some advice, thanks
Haha, just sent another message to say looks like my second message has posted this time when I’ve just got a message to say – “slow down” I’m doing things too quickly…… not how I feel when I’m still trying to get my website to look nice after almost a year 🙁
I still have to recommend the same troubleshooting steps.
Something is causing your site to crash during routine operation, and that’s not normal.
To isolate the cause, we need to start by ruling out third-party elements.
Try deactivating all plugins. If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.
If that does not resolve the issue, try switching to the Twenty Sixteen theme to rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).
