Hi,
I don’t think there is a need to add any function in child theme to load language files.
The theme’s code is already referencing to language folder in activated theme.
You only need to create a folder named languages in your child theme and add your translated mo and po files there.
Thank you
Thank you.
I will try to do so.
You are welcome!
Thank you.
Not sure if i should open a new post…
I tried this but i still get the theme in english… i uploaded in my child theme the folder languages that i just copied from the main theme with juts my language po and mo files
it should work? or do i have to do something else?
Thanks
Hi @uchiland,
As per WordPress forum rule, you need to open your own thread.
https://codex.wordpress.org/Forum_Welcome#Where_To_Post
Regarding translation, you need to open up the po file and translate it to your own language. Not all language file in the theme is fully translated.
Here is some related information.
