WordPress Caching?

    Is there some type of caching taking place in WordPress that is browser-specific?

    When I make updates to my posts, they are instantly reflected in all browsers, except Internet Explorer. I can change a post, and Internet Explorer will continue showing the old version of the article for several hours.

    I have tried refreshing the browser, clearing cache, etc…, but this is supposed to be dynamically loaded, so I don’t understand why Internet Explorer is doing this.

    There must be a reason why it’s loading old versions of the posts for several hours, when all other browsers that I’ve tried, update instantly.

    No, WordPress does not have any built-in caching.

    Are you using any WordPress plugins to provide a cache? If so, which?

    I am not using any plug-ins. So what would cause this to happen?

    It sounds like there’s a problem in Internet Explorer then, especially if you have no issues in any other browsers, and aren’t using anything to provide caching through WordPress.

    Have you tried Microsoft’s Edge browser, which is the successor to Internet Explorer?
