• Ok… so i followed the instructions and downloaded the latest wordpress files then ftp’d them to my hosting space and everything was going great. I created a database and then logged in with the details but it is set to No Privileges. I have tried everything possible to assign privileges but this is the point where i am falling over.

My homepage should be http://flipwebdesign.awardspace.com/ but when i load that i get an error establishing a connection message… what am i missing? is it the No Privileges thing or have i missed a vital piece of the pie?

    Any technical help appreciated… Thanks.

  • At awardspace.com you don’t need to (or really can) set the database privileges. Just create the database and complete the wp-config.php fields. Database name and database user are one-and-the-same. After you create the database you will see the database host/server listed (e.g. fdb1.awardspace.com).

After completing wp-config.php just do the wp-admin/install.php to complete the installation.
