HELP Uploading Theme to WP via FTP (Filezilla)

    Hey guys
    I’ve been trying for hours to figure out how to upload this new theme I bought from envato market.
    I have successfully connected to my ftp connection given the login details from GoDaddy (My host site)>
    I also correctly found the public_html/ root and dragged the new unzipped wordpress theme I bought into the /public_html/wp-content/themes folder and checked that the new theme called “master” had atleast an index.php as well as a stylesheet.php.

    The problem is that when I go back to wordpress.com or wordpress.org to check the themes I cannot find this newly uploaded theme for my life.
    What am I doing wrong?

    Hey there,

    I am a bit confused here. What do you mean when you say “I go back to wordpress.com or wordpress.org to check the themes I cannot find this newly uploaded theme”? If it’s a self hosted WordPress site, you’re supposed to login and navigate to Appearance -> Themes from your WordPress dashboard. Also, there should be stylesheet.css instead of stylesheet.php

    I just say it to acknowledge that I understand the differences between the two wordpress sites. And taking that into account I accessed wordpress from both domains to check if the theme shows up.

    I have went to Appearance>Themes and not find anything show up
    My bad that was a typo I meant stylesheet.css

    If you go to Dashboard > Appearance > Themes (on your self-hosted WP site) and then scroll all the way to the bottom of the screen, do you see a section labeled “Broken Themes”? Also, can you check the file name one more time; it has to be style.css.

    I also noticed you mentioned you purchased this theme; have you spoken to your theme’s vendors for support? After all, that’s part of what you paid for.
