When I try and activate any new 3rd party plugins I get the following error:

PHP Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required 'NGGALLERY_ABSPATH/admin/functions.php' (include_path='.:/usr/share/pear:/usr/share/php') in /var/www/html/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery-media-library-addon/nggmla-class.php on line 805,

NGG itself works but I cannot add anything else. Please see below for requested details:

    – WordPress up to date? yes (4.5.3)
    – NextGEN up to date? yes
    – All plugins up to date? yes
    – Do you have a caching plugin installed? If so, please purge/delete all site cache and deactivate the plugin. Clear your browser cache and reload the page with the issue. Is it still there? No cache plugin
    – Try disabling all browser extensions/plugins and clear browser cache and reload, does that help? no

(please confirm the following, with your server host tech) :
    – MySQL up to date (at least 5.6+)? Yes
    – PHP up to date (at least 5.6+)? 5.6.22
    – The mod_rewrite Apache module activated? yes
    – PHP Safe Mode OFF? No

Additional information that will help us find a solution:
    – Who are you hosted with? AWS
    – What theme are you running? Dynamic News
    – Have you tried checking for a plugin/theme conflict as outlined above^ ? Yes
    – Does the issue occur in all browsers IE/Firefox/Chrome/Safari ? Yes

OK so this is to do with the NextGEN Gallery Media Library Addon. If I deactivate that how can I use NGG images as featured images?

@williamsdb – You should see an option to use a NextGEN Gallery image as your Featured Image (just below the default WordPress Media Library image option) when you are writing / editing your post/page … http://take.ms/RNmmU

    Thanks!

Hi, I thought that functionality was part of the “NextGEN Gallery Media Library Addon” plugin but clearly not! Thanks.
