validate active plugins error

    Hello all!
    First post, first major problem as well… When I click on my plugins tab in the admin panel, I receive this message:
    Fatal error: Call to undefined function validate_active_plugins() in /home/bestcoun/public_html/wp-admin/plugins.php on line 42

    Any ideas…I am unfortunately not very knowledgeable about all this, so your ideas are greatly appreciated!

    Anyone?! Please!
    As my host company is giving me a hard time about not having a plug in cache they shut all my sites down once already for a couple days….I have WP super cache…I just cant turn it on apparently bc of the message I receive ”Fatal error: Call to undefined function validate_active_plugins() in /home/bestcoun/public_html/wp-admin/plugins.php on line 42”!!
