Stop auto adding br & p tag Pages and Post

Hi there, we are facing problem on br & p tag adding on post and pages. i recently made a page and putting some articles on Textarea boxes. I just copy some fresh text without any coding text </br> </p> etc i have paste that on text mode and updates data but why puted unnessesary tag br p tag, I have tried everything to remove and hide i ask experts and finally they said that its wordpress mistakes. for that reasons i stopped working on wordpress whenever i dont find solutions i will never see again on wordpress…

Are you switching between the Visual and Text editor to preview your work? Anyway, try a plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/dont-muck-my-markup/

If the plugin works you ought to doubt the feedback of those “experts”.

Oh sorry I misread that, now I read that you stopped using WordPress. There’s nothing we can do in that case.

Hello, Sorry for My Bad Word Sir, I have Installed plugin and also change on setting disable markup, but still Br & p tag not removed on my textarea box.i clear all text again paste with text mode… but problem is not solved.

As a temporary solution, can you try replacing the <textarea> element with the <pre> element? Let us know if that works.

Add this 2 Lines on your function.php
```
remove_filter( 'the_content', 'wpautop' );
remove_filter( 'the_excerpt', 'wpautop' );
```
Second ways get value using Like:
```
<?php echo wpautop(get_the_content()); ?>
```

Ravi: removing wpautop is NOT a good idea as it has many, widespread side effects.

how to remove it or replace to blank space..
