Show birth date AND age

I would like to show the user’s date of birth AND their age simultaneously on the profile page. Currently my profiles have the birth date as the full date. Is there a way to show the calculated age also?
If I make a custom profile template can I add this? If so is there some brief instruction of how to do this?
