  • Did you have Charitable set up to delete data on deactivation? This is set under Charitable > Settings > Advanced. By default, we keep that setting off, which means that you can safely deactivate/activate Charitable without losing any data.

    If you have lost all your campaign and donations data, then I’m afraid it sounds like you might have had that option enabled.

    Did you make any database backup before deactivating Charitable? Or does your web host have an automatic backup system?

    Hi Eric, yes, after a moment of sheer panic, I went to my host and we restored a back-up. Whew! No worries – it’s all back to normal – nothing was lost. Thanks for your awesomely super-fast response!
