Home page

Hi, I want to use the Gateway theme for a free WordPress blog. (I’m pretty new to this so please don’t assume that I know anything!) When I set up the Home page though, it has ‘Welcome to WordPress.com’ across the header. I cannot see how to remove this text anywhere. I am about to abandon using the Gateway theme unless someone can tell me how to remove it! Can anyone help please? Thanks.
