Google maps, postcodes & geocoding

Hi everyone

Been looking for a way to create a map to embed in my website which has placemarkers generated via postcodes/addresses. Does anyone know how I can do this and whether there is a plug-in for it? I know there are google map plug-ins but this request seems more specific than what they offer.
