@elbrucko – Just to clarify, you want it to work on every page (except category & index), but you don’t want it on every page? A popup must be loaded to work correctly. Otherwise there is nothing to show.

If you are saying its loading on pages it is not supposed to be then we need to correct your Conditions for that popup.

If you want the content to load on demand currently the only option is something like our Remote Content extension which allows you to load remote content such as from another page, iframe or even a custom PHP function via AJAX (might be what your after). But even in this case the popup itself is loaded in the footer ahead of time, the content is rendered when the popup is triggers (useful if multiple buttons should load different content).
