I finally got most of the important things working on my static pages, but there’s a big line of bold type that says “Nothing Found” on the home page. I cannot find where or how to get rid of it. I thought putting the image there would get rid of it, but I was wrong.

How can I get this off, please?

    Thanks.

It would appear to be because you have your front page set to display your recent posts, but you haven’t published any posts yet. 🙂

Once you publish your first post, you’ll see that instead of “Nothing Found.”

All the pages on that site will be / are static, so I won’t be publishing any posts. And yes, I think the front page static button is selected.

Do I have to find another theme???

No, at Settings -> Reading make sure that you chose a page for the front rather than Latest Posts, and make sure that the page you chose is publicly accessible (not a Draft or Private).
