Chapter navigation problem
-
I have a comic site running comic easel. ( http://mrfart.be )
The landing page is set to be my main comic (captain anchovy).
It has it’s own chapter and the setting “Navigate through only the chapters and not all comics?” is turned on and “Traverse comic chapters with the previous/next?” is turned off.The menu arrows are set so they stay within the chapter. This works well until I make a new post in one of the other chapters.
The menu arrows will stop browsing in the “anchovy” chapter and browse another chapter instead.
This strange behavior will only end when I make a new post in the “anchovy” chapter. Please can somebody help me with this. Thanks

If it’s only that one chapter, look for the one difference in the settings.
Maybe the chapter’s order number is wrong? I don’t think the number should have an effect if traversing between chapters is off (it has a big effect when it’s on because they must be consecutive for that to work), but that would be my first guess. Or maybe it’s on a different level (a parent chapter that the others are child chapters of) – that would mess some things up, I’d wager.
But I’m really stabbing blind here. Just grab that chapter and one that works right and compare them in the chapters meniu. Maybe something comes up.
The chapters don’t have an order (they’re all set to 0).
And none of them are set to child/parent.I made the mistake of updating the Comic Easel plug in and now my custom navigation arrows are gone in the main chapter, and on other chapters I don’t even get the standard navigation arrows anymore, but instead just “Page x of x” at the bottom, and when I click a page, the arrows appear again.
It’s all a bit weird.
thanks for the suggestions.
Maybe the fact that my main comic was added with the import feature has something to do with it? I added them with a file name that includes the date for the scheduled post.
I don’t know, I’m out of ideas 🙂I’m gonna give this a bump, since even the freelancer I hired to fix it doesn’t seem to find the problem.
It’s really depressing.
