Hi there,
You need to create a menu form Appearance > Menus section, and add your links there in the dropdown format. Here’s a great guide which will help: http://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Menu_User_Guide
Hope it helps.
Is there a way to do this without having a page itself for the menu item that have the sub menus?
Hi there,
Sure, just choose the custom link option in the menu section and type # in the link field and your desired name in the name field. Hope you understand.
is there documentation on custom links and how they relate to menu items? thx
So say one of my main menus is ‘Services’ and I have sub-menus ‘coaching’ and ‘IT’. What would I do with the custom links, so that when someone points to Services nothing actually happens (i.e. no page is loaded)?
I figured it out from your previous message. Thanks. Just any way to stop it turning color ‘red’ when someone hovers over it?
Hi there,
Unfortunately, I’d need the site link in order to help you with that. Thanks!
