We migrated our site to a new host and it seemed to have duplicated some tables in our database. Now I can’t successfully launch my site locally. I see the list of tables and some are duplicates but I am not sure which ones to delete. Can someone point me in the right direction?

    Thanks!

  • Did you change the host/domain references in the database? How did you migrate the site? What do you mean you can’t “launch” the site? Do you get a particular error in your browser?

My ESP powers are not working today… it’s the rain.

Sorry for the lack of details. I’m new to databases and such.

I managed to fix the issue by duplicating what someone else did for me through a support channel which was deleting the duplicate wp2c_ tables and keeping the original wp_ tables.

Essentially my live site is working fine and I make a backup of it. I download the .zip backup file and attempt to import it with desktopserver.

After importing it through desktopserver, the address bar shows http://www.www.example.com and I get a error page.

I’ll provide more details next time.
