• Super frustrated.

The embed video button is gone from the dashboard. I searched the issue in the forum and it is suggested to just cut and paste the url directly into my post, no need to “imbed video”. But when I do all that shows up on the post is a line that says:

    YouTube: please specify correct url

I’ve gone back to realize that now ALL the videos of all my previous 100 posts have dissappeared. How is that possible? Is there a way to get them back up without having to manually re-paste every one of my videos?

And most importantly, how to I effectively imbed a video now?? Very frustrated with the dashboard alterations.

Are you sure you have the right YT url?

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder and wp-config.php & root .htaccess files – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.
