I don’t think this is something WooCommerce is causing. Check your caching plugins, and also your WordPress and site addresses in the settings: http://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-fix-wordpress-keeps-logging-out-problem/
Might want to also make sure this isn’t installed as a plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/logout-roulette/ ;p

Nothing like that is a factor. I’m not a noob. All I know is that this started happening moments after the update was applied.

Did you update anything else along with WooCommerce? Maybe WordPress or another plugin? This is the first I’m hearing of this issue, so I’m pretty sure it isn’t directly WooCommerce related.
You’re free to check the comparison on github if you’re not noob 🙂 – you’ll see no such code was added which affects logins.
Caleb Burks (@icaleb) is right! I faced exactly the same problem, I deactivated the cashing plugins and immediately my problem was solved. Thanks Caleb! 🙂
