Hello sunnborr,
Are you using WordPress in a localhost or a live site? wp_mail function that form plugins like ninja forms doesnot work From localhost.
Also, you can also browse ninja forms support For more specific answers and solutions
Thanks,
Hi sunnborr,
I think you are missing Type field which should me email under Email and Actions section.
It will help you http://docs.ninjaforms.com/customer/en/portal/articles/2121401-emails-and-actions
Thanks for you repsonds. However, I can’t make it work. The emails are still not being received.
Is there another type of Contact/question-form I can use, instead of the ninja one?
I still need help with my question form.
I did try out to fill ut the Type field. It still doesn’t work.
I also tried to create a new contact form. It still doesn’t work.
It could be a problem with your provider or your SMTP. Install some plugin like WP SMTP, and use it to send test mails to your email id.
It could help narrow down whether the problem is with the configuration of the Ninja forms, or something wrong with your mailing function
1. Where is your site hosted? If you are on “localhost”, you probably cannot send mail.
2. If you are hosted on your own vps, do you have a mail transfer agent (like sendmail or postfix) installed?
3. If on shared hosting, can you send *any* mail from your site? If you add a new user, do you receive the notification email from WordPress?
4. If (3) and “yes”, did you check the spam folder for your mail account?
Finally, if this comes down to the configuration of ninja itself, please post question here: https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/ninja-forms
1) Hosted on GoDaddy, shared hosting.
2) –
3) Yes.
4) Yes, I did check spam folder. But no, nothing’s there.
