Portfolio View Help

Hello.

I want to know a simple method to change the “View Project/File” within my WordPress Theme. At the moment, whenever someone clicks on an portfolio images, it takes him to a page where there’s a single image of that portfolio image. What I want is that when someone clicks on that portfolio image, it opens up in large size instead of taking the user to another site. Is it something possible?
