subscriber email notfications

    I want to add a link that people can download once they subscribe. how do i do that? i’m using a jetpack widget for new blog post email notifications. Maybe I need to have a different newsletter widget in order to do this?
    Can I also have design control over what is sent out in the email to subscribers?
