    Hey guys,

I’m wondering if someone could give me some guidance here.

I am in the process of creating an e-commerce website for a client and one of his requirements is to have an image of a product and as you hover over certain elements of the image a tooltip comes up.

So let’s say the product is a bag, when you hover over the handle it tells you what it is made of, when you hover over the zip, it tells you the zip length.

Can anyone suggest a plugin or is this the case of having to slice the image in Photoshop and then using CSS creating the tooltips on hover?

    Any help is appreciated 🙂

    Thanks

  • I’m not sure if there is one the can get this specific per image of a product, but with quite a bit of work you could probably implement some css tool tips, perhaps using something from codepen.io or there looks like some premium plugin available (although I’ve not personally used them) if you’re setting up an e-commerce site with WooCommerce. Hope that helps some.

Thanks Will, I think I’ve found a solution by using an image hotspot plugin. I am waiting for the client to provide me with he image he would like to add the tooltips to. So once I have that I will download a hotspot plugin and go from there.

The site you’ve provided is very handy 🙂 thank you
