Image URL redirect – help please

Hi there,
I’d like to redirect all jpg, png, svg, gif, doc & pdf file types from a sub domain to the live domain.
So, for example all jpg files residing in http://staging.example.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/06
To
http://example.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/06
I’d obviously prefer not to have to include directories if at all possible, take a more blanket approach, essentially rewriting the http://staging.example.com part of the URL to http://staging.example.com for all of the above file types.
Can anyone help at all?
