Page editor not displaying text

    So I have a website that is running Blackboot Pro version 1.1.17 by Iceable Themes.

    I recently upadated the theme which may be the cause of the problem, but what is happening is that when I load any of my pages, there is no content appearing in the ‘Visual’ editor. If I switch to ‘Text’ it is there and then switch back to ‘Visual’ it appears. The problem continues however.. I can edit in ‘Text’ and when I update – the pages update. When I edit in ‘Visual’ and update – the content reverts back to what it had previously been. I could deal with this if it was not for the fact that I use quite a few Advanced WP Columns which can only be edited in the ‘Visual’ editor.

    Any help would be much appreciated!

    Please disable all plugins and switch the theme to ‘twentysixteen’. Does the problem go away? If so, turns things back on one at a time until you find what’s causing the problem.

    @sterndata – this appears to be more of an issue than isolated to a single user – I am currently writing my own ticket and have noticed a number of people saying the same thing in the forums over the past 24 hours or more (and I did all of the above too)

    Perhaps you have the same problem, perhaps not. Nonetheless, let’s go through the process to figure out what’s going on.

    I agree the OP should go through the process, I just wanted to highlight that I do not think this an isolated incident and believe it is affecting more users than just a couple.

    I wrote my own ticket (am not attempting to hijack this thread), because I wanted to highlight my own issue and because I wanted to show the links to various other threads where other have had the same issue over the past day or so – maybe it can be of help to the support team to see if there is a pattern or something that needs looking at wider: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/visual-editor-tab-not-working-at-all?replies=1#post-8505123
