Have you tried disabling Jetpack? It’s trying to load a http://i0.wp.com/ url thumbnail which has something to do with Jetpack ( of which I’m not terribly familiar ) but visiting the URL directly ( without the i0 ) shows up fine, with the i0 it says it cannot complete this request.
Another reason may be that it’s trying to pull the full sized images ( which are rather large being photography ) and sizing them down in HTML.
Maybe try sizing down the image and reuploading it with a different name. Read the “Limitations” section under Jetpack – Photon ( last bullet ):
https://jetpack.com/support/photon/
Thanks for the help!
I use the Jetpack tiled gallery. Thats why i need it. I limited the size of the images in Setttings -> Media but that did not help anything. They are .jpg so Jetpack should resize them accordingly.
As soon as I disable the tiled gallery and use normal thumbnail grids it works fine.
Does it make a difference if I upload smaller images or if I limit the size in Settings -> Media?
@mathias were you able to figure this out? I am having the same problem. One or two pictures showing up, but none of the others. I’ve disabled all plugins except jetpack and changes the theme, and disabled minification, compression, deferring, and caching. Thanks in advance for taking the time to help!!
No I was on holiday for a while…
As far as i understand the image size is the problem. Jetpack uses the full sized images for the tiles. But I want to keep the image size for my fullscreen slide show… Don’t know how to solve this
