Coupling lists, pre-selection, and exclusive selection.

I have a series of newsletter lists (say, IDs = 2,6,7,8,9,10.)
I show some list IDs on some pages, and hide some in other pages (say, on PAGE1, I only show lists 2 and 7; on PAGE2, I only show lists 6 and 8. Lists are exclusive to each page: I never have PAGE1 and lists 2,6 and PAGE2 with lists 2,8.)

I was wondering:

Question 1.

Is it possible, for each page, to pre-select only one list, and leave the others unchecked? Say, on PAGE1, with lists 2 and 7, I want list 2 only pre-checked, of all lists; on PAGE2, with lists 6 and 8, I want list 6 only pre-checked, of all lists. I use separate widget templates, so I could inject the code there.

Question 2.

Is it possible to restrict users to only one selection, automatically unchecking all the previously selected lists?
