[Plugin: WP Super Cache] Preload gives old homepage

I noticed that with preload turned on, people don’t get a new homepage for my blog when it is updated. (Well, until the preloaded cache files are refreshed which is rare.)

I solved this with a cron job that deletes the homepage supercache files (index.html and index.html.gz) if they are older than an hour.

Is there a better way to do this?
