Just updated to 4.5.2 on my site and there are now several functionalities that aren’t working.

I can’t insert media into a post. I can’t get access to change hyperlinks to open in a new tab. If I click on the new Link Options gearwheel, I lose the ability to scroll on the page, it just freezes up.

The intro page after installing refers to Editing Improvements and talks about inline linking, but there’s no additional information.

I’m using the DigiNews theme in a Windows 10 system and Chrome browser.

    Insights appreciated. Thank you.

I did. It’s the hyperlink connected to DigiNews.

By way of update, I’ve tried a different browser (Firefox) and no difference. I’ve logged out and back in, cleared my browser cache and cookies, rebooted the computer, changed my password. Nothing different. I’ve also reverted back to 4.5.1 and the same problems exist.

I can add media to existing image galleries, I just can’t add media into an actual blog post.

Have you tried disabling the plugins?

Hadn’t got to that point yet. Plugins had never been an issue when having problems in the past.

This time one was. Specifically the Headspace2 plugin. All was fine with 4.5.1 and broke with the update to 4.5.2. After reverting to 4.5.1, whatever was broken, must have stayed broken.

Please attempt to disable all plugins, and use one of the default (Twenty*) themes. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of your troubles.

Yes, I did that. If you read the earlier response, I did isolate the specific plugin that was causing the problem.
