    i’m going to guess that you just pressed the update button rather than follow the instructions (BACK UP DATABASE, deactivate plugins, revert to default theme?)

    you’ll need to access your server and try renaming the plugins folder to see if that works. it sounds like the core has updated but everything else on the site hasn’t.

    You can try update again but check out https://codex.wordpress.org/Updating_WordPress and https://codex.wordpress.org/Upgrading_WordPress_-_Extended_Instructions before you do anything. WordPress makes is super easy to update but sometimes it is too easy and people neglect making backups, etc (Maybe you have).

    If you can not get into the admin area but you have access to FTP, you can FTP a new install of WP right over your old install. This will not hurt anything but just remember to override and not skip.
