• So I got the homepage and the post/single page to load however, when you look at the page layout, it looks boring and dull. I purchased a html/css off themeforest and I am trying to convert it to have the actual blog template layout that it offers. I have gotten the header and footer setup so far, also got the side somewhat of how I would want it.

What I am needing is someone to help me with getting the middle content and the posts to look like these:

    homepage: http://tanshcreative.com/ciaohost-st-demo/multipost.html
    single page/post: http://tanshcreative.com/ciaohost-st-demo/blogpost.html

If someone can help with getting it coded for the middle content and the actual page that would be superful helpful as I am stumped and trying to make this as much as possible custom compared to using like the default but with integrating (tried and failed already).

Any helpful information would be nice thanks.

my current layout can be seen here: http://news.dudleyscoloradotechsupport.com/
(still work in progress but want the content styling fixed then will load it with right content)

  • Hi there,

If you’re referring to fixing the errors you’re seeing, they are pointing to a problem with your functions.php file. Did you make edits to that file? The specific lines responsible for the errors are listed there, so that’s where you’ll want to look to resolve the errors.

If you’re referring to something other than that, please let us know.

But either way, those errors are something you’ll want to resolve.

I removed that attempt to have some social media options, that I will handle another way. If you view it now you will see what I mean compared to the links that I have provided of what the template that I bought looks like. Nothing alike lol I don’t know how the the_content() or the_excerpt() work fully.

Hopefully you can help and let me know what I am missing.

    Hi again,

Have you tried contacting the theme author? That’s the best way to get an answer on the specifics of how to use this theme.

Yes and he won’t take the time to help with it “due to it will take a lot of time to convert it from HTML/CSS to WordPress.”

I just used the default sixteen homepage and modified it to work a bit, but then I have to add in the comments template into it.
