Hi MrWilson2013,
This is usually caused by an Ad Blocker in the browser and not the plugin itself. Since the editor button is created with JavaScript and it has ‘amazon’ in it, many ad blockers block the script because they falsely think it is an ad (this in turn stops the editor from loading).
If you have the option to ‘whitelist’ the edit page, that should fix your issue. Some ad blockers have more detailed settings where you can allow certain scripts and other items, so you may have to look around a bit for how to specifically disable it on your edit pages.
If you still have issues, let me know.
Warm regards,
Don
Hi thanks for the reply, I actually dont use any ad blockers or extensions in chrome or any other browser.
I’ve reduced my plugins to just this plugin to and the problem is still there.
Is it possible it could be the theme? I’m happy to use the text editor but would like to try and get the visual one working.
thanks again
Do you possibly have an anti-virus with browser protection installed, like Avast? That has an ad blocker in it (I use that myself, so I know that one specifically has caused that same issue).
That is really the only problem we have ever had reported on the editor and it is almost always caused (99%) by an ad blocker of some sort.
It is possible (yes) that if there is some scripting in the theme that could be causing an issue with the JavaScript for the button. That could theoretically cause the same type of issue, but without seeing the console log, it is hard to say for sure. What theme are you using?
Warm regards,
Don
I have just turned off all anti virus and problem is still there, It must be the theme itself causing it.
This is what I’m currently using
