Are there hosting companies that are more recommended than others for hosting WordPress sites? I currently have Godaddy and say they can reduce some of the maddening slowness with a WordPress specific hosting plan that is an additional $120 a year.

I’ve read positive articles about Siteground but at this point I can’t determine if they were written by Siteground.

If Godaddy charges $120 a year more to address slow WordPress sites, clearly this is an important issue. I don’t see an area of this forum where this matter is discussed so I’m asking it here. Speed vs cost are the factors I’m weighing unless there are other issues someone can bring to light.

Harsh, do you a link to your site you can share? I think the simpler the theme, the faster the website. Some WordPress themes use so much Javascript that it slow things down incredibly. If I didn’t have WordPress, my sites would be a lot faster.
