WordPress 2.5 Post Problem

Hi, I upgraded to WP 2.5 without problem and for the most part, other then some errors with the image upload, everything seems ok. I do have a strange problem that I have not found any reports of though.

Occasionally and for no apparent reason, when I go to create a new post, it just hangs on the publish and will never publish the post to the site.

This has happened three times now out of about 20 posts. It does not matter whether I use the browser based editor, or write the post in ecto, the same thing happens.

Deleting the post and starting again makes no difference, its simply will not publish. The only way I have found to rectify the problem is to delete the post, make another post and then try again. For some reason, it seems to hang on particular posts, but save the post in memory, so that it requires a fresh post to clear the problem.

Solutions i have tried include, clearing browser cache, turing off plugins, using different computers and even restarting the VPS. Nothing works other then deleting the post, creating a fresh and totally different post and then trying again.

When this problem occurs, sometimes I cannot navigate to any other admin area, it seems to kill the entire admin area.

The data in the post when this problem occurs is entirely textual and has no images, no video or any unusual markup.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated, as it is getting to the hair pulling stage here.
