Hi Peter,
The notice to update the database is just for the data to be updated from our plugin and we are not changing any other data from your database. This update is required in order to make the Sorting of Delivery Date field on WooCommerce-> Orders listing page work correctly for all the orders.
Regarding, the buying of the PRO version, we are not only displaying the notice but we do provide a discounted coupon code with 20% discount for the customers who wishes to update from the Lite to Pro version.
However, the notice for the buying of Pro version is dismissible and you can dismiss it with the cross mark present on the notice. Once, the notice is dismissed it will not appear again until the lite version is reinstalled.
We have not kept the Update database notice dismissible as the update is required from our plugin to make functionality work.
